Classic Arcade Games

Some of the Retro Video Consoles that topped the list from the era are, Formula 1 Grand Prix, Civilization, Lemmings, and Dune II. Many of the games that appeared on the consoles like the Commodore Amiga were taken straight from the arcade machines of the arcade. Those that saw their favorite stand up version reprogrammed and formatted just the same as the arcade version, soon became followers. Although archaic in when viewed with the animation of today's consoles, the Classic Video Games that started the whole gaming revolution seemed very advanced. This was before games consoles were normal in every home.

The Commodore 64 for instance was introduced with software that produced many games that at the time could only be rivalled by Nintendo, many of these Vintage Video Games can be found today available at specialist sites on the internet and even some specialised stores. The animations are just as you remember and the music sounds a bit better because of the sound qualities that accompany many consoles of today. Many Retro Amiga Games have become huge fan favourites with websites and forums dedicated to individual games.

Sometimes a collector or enthusiast will try to find particular Retro Video Consoles for one of these consoles. Many people possibly still have these systems in their garage or basement and don't know the popularity of these vintage systems. It's hard to find Vintage Video Games since they don't make them anymore, and even though PC software tries to introduce the same graphics it's the combination of the systems and the games that produce the nostalgia. You can find games on auction sites or even a pawnshop but there seems to be a lot of legwork involved. There are some gamer sites that cater exclusively to those who are seeking these games from days gone by.
